Youth arrested for making obscene call to Maha BJP MLA mimicking female voice

Mumbai Oct 14 (UNI) An unemployed youth was arrested by police for allegedly making obscene call to Shivaji Patil, a 55-year-old BJP MLA from Chandgad of Kolhapur in Maharashtra, by mimicking female voices.
Patil had approached police alleging that a woman was blackmailing him with obscene chats and videos.
Based on his complaint, police registered a case under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (transmis or publication of obscene material in electronic form), and Section 308 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (extortion) when the police cyber team began tracing call records and bank details, the seductress’ identity crumbled.
