Youth sentenced in sexual harassment and molestation case in Bihar

Patna, Apr 23 (UNI) A special court under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act sentenced three years rigorous imprisonment to a youth on Wednesday under the charges of sexual harassment and molestation.
Special judge Rajiv Ranjan Raman also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 against the accused,namely Raushan Raju of Rajiv Nagar police station area.
As it is in the year 2024, the accused youth used to stalk a minor girl on her way to school and coaching, pass lewd comments and tease her and also abuse and threaten her when she protested. While committing this crime, people caught the accused red handed and handed him over to the police. An FIR in this connection was registered in Rajiv Nagar police station.
