Be task-focused, don't rest on past laurels: Women's hockey team coach

New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) Head Coach of senior India Women's Hockey team Sjoerd Marijne has made it clear to his players that the criteria for selection will be current form and they cannot rest on past laurels.
Interacting with the press online on Wednesday, Marijne, who assumed the role of Head Coach of the national team for a second time in December 2025 stressed discipline, underlining that they must be task-focused.
"All 29 players (who are currently participating in the national camp) are just as important, and every player must know that past is past and at this moment, what you do is what matters, for me it is about performance and behaviour, and it is important that they enjoy the process as well."
