BLO dies of heart attack in Hathras; family alleges immense work pressure

Hathras, Dec 2 (UNI) In Hathras, another Booth Level Officer (BLO) deployed on SIR (Special Intensive Revision) of electoral rolls duty, has died. BLO Kamalkant Sharma suffered a heart attack on Tuesday. He reportedly collapsed at home after feeling dizzy. Family members rushed him to Aligarh for treatment, but he died on the way.
Soon after receiving the news, District Magistrate Atul Vats visited the bereaved family and consoled them.
Kamalkant’s wife, Neelam Sharma, alleged that her husband was under immense pressure, receiving frequent calls from officials. “The workload was too high, and he was very tense. We kept asking him not to worry and leave the job if it gets too tough," she said.
