Delhi Govt announces pay- hike for vocational & Samagra Shiksha teachers

New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) The Delhi government has approved a substantial increase in the salaries of vocational teachers and those working under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced after the Cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.
The decision also covers teachers engaged at Special Training Centres, where children who have dropped out or never attended school are brought back into the education system.
Sharing details about the decision, CM Gupta said that around 1,131 vocational teachers in Delhi, who provide skill-based training across various disciplines, will now receive Rs 38,100 per month, up from the earlier Rs 20,000- Rs 23,000 range.

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) India on Thursday said two LPG carriers transporting fuel cargo for the country have safely crossed the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz, while confirming that an Indian sailing vessel sank in Omani waters after an onboard fire incident, with all crew members rescued safely.
