Hyd: Lose weight to keep diabetes away: Kamineni Hospital doctors

Hyderabad, June 18 (UNI) Weight loss can significantly reduce the severity of diabetes, said Dr. Sandeep Reddy, Endocrinologist, and Dr. Bhavani, Consultant Diabetologist at Kamineni Hospitals here today.
Addressing the media on the occasion of Diabetes Awareness Week, observed annually from June 9 to 15, the doctors said that there are three to four types of medications in India that help with both weight loss and diabetes control.
Some are injections, and others are tablets and these can help reduce 10-15 kgs of weight, they said and added that these medications reduce appetite and create a feeling of fullness.
