Javed Akhtar praises Bihar museum, calls it among the world’s finest

Patna, April 7 (UNI) Renowned poet, lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar on Tuesday lauded the Bihar Museum, describing it as “one of the finest museums in the world” and a true reflection of India’s historical journey.
During his visit, Akhtar explored the museum’s vast collection of archaeological artefacts and rare historical exhibits, expressing admiration for its scale and richness. He said that he makes it a point to visit museums wherever he travels, as they offer deep insights into the history, culture, and society of a place.
“I have visited several museums across London, Europe, Indonesia, and Egypt, but I have never seen such an extensive and diverse collection of archaeological treasures as I found here,” he remarked, and added that he was pleasantly surprised to discover such a remarkable museum in Patna.
Earlier, Akhtar was welcomed at the museum by Additional Director Ashok Kumar Sinha, who greeted him with a bouquet and traditional honours. Director General Anjani Kumar Singh also met the noted poet and briefed him on the key features and significance of the museum.
During the tour, In-charge Additional Director Ranbir Singh Rajput accompanied Akhtar and provided detailed information about the exhibits and artefacts on display.
