Jharkhand Municipal polls to use single Ballot box for Mayor, councillor votes

Ranchi, Jan 10 (UNI) The upcoming municipal elections in Jharkhand will be conducted through ballot papers, with voters casting their votes for both ward councillor and mayor/chairperson in a single ballot box.
However, to ensure clarity and ease in the voting process, separate ballot papers of different colours will be provided for the two posts.
To ensure smooth and fair conduct of the elections, the State Election Commission, Jharkhand has decided to organise a one-day training programme for all Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs). The training will be held on January 16 at the Commission’s office, where officials will be briefed in detail on election rules and procedures.
