Judicial Commission issues notice to former CM KCR on Power Purchase Agreements

Hyderabad, June 11 (UNI) The Judicial Commission, led by Justice L Narasimha Reddy and constituted by the Telangana government to inquire into Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Chhattisgarh and the construction of the Bhadradri and Yadadri thermal power plants, has issued a notice to former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) regarding his role in the PPAs made with the Chhattisgarh government during the BRS regime.
According to sources, the Commission requested information from KCR by June 15. However, KCR responded by asking for an extension until July 30.
Former CMD of GENCO and TRANSCO, D Prabhakar Rao, and the then Energy Principal Secretary, Suresh Chanda, have already appeared before the commission.
