Kerala: Rajeev Chandrasekhar alleges political cover-up in Sabarimala gold theft case

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 10 (UNI) Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar today accused the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of shielding the real culprits in the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple, saying the anger among Ayyappa devotees was steadily mounting and was “fully justified”.
In a strongly worded statement, Chandrasekhar said the responsibility for protecting the sanctity and assets of the Sabarimala temple rested with the Devaswom Minister and the Travancore Devaswom Board, and not with the Tantri alone.
He questioned what he described as selective action by the investigating agency, pointing out that while the Tantri had been arrested, Devaswom Ministers Kadakampally Surendran and V.N. Vasavan were only questioned and not taken into custody.

Milky Mist to invest Rs 1,130 cr in Maha

Chennai, Jan 23 (UNI) Tamil Nadu-based value-added dairy firm Milky Mist Dairy Food Ltd on Friday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra to set up a large-scale milk processing and dairy products manufacturing facility in the state.
The MoU was signed at the ongoing World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
