KSU stages protest against recruitment irregularities by MPSC

Shillong, Aug 1 (UNI) The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Thursday burnt the copies of the reply published by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) on the controversial recruitment process of Meghalaya Civil Service(MCS), Meghalaya Police Service (MPs) and Statistical Officers in the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary department.
The KSU activists held the protest at the premises of the commission as a mark of protest for its failure to fulfill its demand. They shouted slogans against the MPSC Chairman, Paul Reader Marwein, and displayed placards against the Commission.
The KSU had set a 48-hour ultimatum to the commission to publish the marks of candidates appearing for the MCS (Prelims) Examination after the MPSC recently added 62 candidates to the pass list of 2022-23 MCS examinations after a candidate raised objections on three answers of the examination.
