New era to begin in India's criminal justice system with 3 new laws: Mustafa

Patna, Jun 24 (UNI) Chanakya Law University vice-chancellor, Faizan Mustafa, said on Monday that with the enactment of three new laws namely Bhartiya Nyaay Samhita, Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Samhita and Bhartiya Sakshi Adhiniyam, a new era will begin in India's criminal justice system.
While inaugurating the workshop jointly with director Police Academy Rajgir B Srinivasan, Inspector General of Police CID, Director General PIB New Delhi Pragya Paliwal-Gaud, additional director general PIB Patna S K Malviya, Mustafa said that the old laws gave priority to the security of the British state rather than giving priority to action in cases of murder and crimes against women.
