Over 55k sellers from Telangana sell their products on Amazon

Hyderabad, Oct 1 (UNI) To make the festive season of 2024 a big success for sellers in Telangana and across India, Amazon has rolled out various initiatives and innovations.
The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2024 is now under way and the company has claimed that this year’s sale has witnessed a record 11 crore customer visits in the first 48 hours.
Out of these, 80 per cent of customers came from Tier 2 and smaller towns.
The Amazon Great Indian Festival started from September 27 with 24-hour early access for Prime members and “has seen the biggest ever opening for its sellers and brand partners on Amazon.in,” the e-commerce giant said on Tuesday.
During the last four-day Great Indian Festival sale, the month-long sales, 10 lakh products were delivered on the same day, while 40 lakh products on one-day, said Gaurav Bhatnagar, Sales director at Amazon India, in a press conference here.
Over the years, the company has invested in creating a robust physical infrastructure across India and in Telangana, he said today, it has six large fulfillment centres and one sortation centre in Telangana, along with nearly 70 amazon-owned and partner delivery stations.
"This year, we have opened three fulfillment centres -- at Delhi-NCR, Guwahati and Patna," he said that these centres would support sellers to deliver to customers across 100 per cent serviceable pin codes.
Without disclosing the business turnover during the four-day big sale, he said the company announced a significant reduction in selling fees -- three to 12 per cent across categories such as groceries, fashion and electronics, to help sellers increase their earnings and offer better prices to customers.
This will give sellers an opportunity to optimize their operations for the Diwali shopping rush and continue to drive business growth after the festivities, he said.
The festive season, is a big opportunity for SMBs in Telangana to boost their online business through e-commerce, with a potential increase in consumer spending, he said this year, more than 55,000 sellers from the state out of 16 lakh sellers across the country (last year 14 lakh sellers), will list and showcase their products on Amazon.in, reaching their customers across 100 per cent serviceable pin codes of India.
By taking advantage of the increased demand, traffic and special offers, these sellers can boost their sales and reach new customers, he informed.
To support sellers, Amazon has introduced several new tools and features like Sale Event Planner, which assists sellers in managing and executing major sale events, and AI-powered innovations such as Imaging Services and Listing Assistants, Gaurav informed.
The Self-Service Registration (SSR 2.0) simplifies on boarding with multi-language support and streamlined registration and invoicing processes.
Additionally, the Sale Event Planner helps sellers craft compelling deals and provides valuable insights for effective inventory planning.
The New Seller Success Centre offers detailed guidance on setting up online shops and utilizing features like Ads, Prime, and deals.
Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) will make it easier for sellers to reach more customers by using Amazon's delivery network, he added.
