Shivakumar's cabinet points to consensus politics, not one-man decision

Bengaluru, June 3 (UNI) The proposed Karnataka Cabinet list has triggered detailed political analysis within Congress circles, with indications that the final composition reflects a carefully negotiated internal balance rather than an outright unilateral exercise by Chief Minister-designate DK Shivakumar.
The CLP leadership has formally forwarded the list to the Governor of Karnataka at Raj Bhavan for arrangements related to the oath-taking ceremony. However, the structure of the Council of Ministers is being viewed as the outcome of sustained internal consultations involving multiple centres of influence within the party, including the organisational and political legacy associated with former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
As per the list, D K Shivakumar is set to take oath as Chief Minister, while G Parameshwar has been named Deputy Chief Minister, signalling a dual leadership arrangement at the top of the state executive.
