Teen sensation Suryavanshi belts second-fastest ton in Youth Tests

Chennai, Oct 1 (UNI) Suryavanshi, just 13 years of age, dazzled the crowd in Chennai by smashing the second-fastest century in Youth Test cricket. The young prodigy, playing against Australia in the ongoing Youth Test, reached his century in a mere 58 balls, an innings studded with five sixes and 14 boundaries.
Suryavanshi’s blistering knock puts him just behind England’s Moeen Ali, who scored a 56-ball ton in 2005, and it now stands as the fastest century ever achieved in India in this format.
His 104-run contribution was instrumental in pushing India to 296 in response to Australia U19’s 293, giving India a slender first-innings lead in the match.
