Two Punjab residents held with heroin in Kangra

Kangra, May 9 (UNI) Two persons from Punjab were arrested after police recovered suspected heroin from their possession in Kangra district, police said on Saturday.
Kangra district superintendent of police Ashok Rattan told UNI that the incident took place on May 8 at Tikka Gajred under the jurisdiction of Kangra Police Station.
He said that the accused have been identified as Paramjeet Singh, a resident of Nachauchakk Gharota in Pathankot district, and Hasan Ghulam, a resident of Chamunda Devi village in Amritsar district of Punjab.

Uttarakhand to be declared fully literate state; govt to bear partial insurance cost of mules used on pilgrimage tracks

Dehradun, Jun 18 (UNI) Uttarakhand's Pushkar Singh Dhami government has decided to declare the state fully literate, with the cabinet's formal approval on Thursday. The state government will also bear 20 percent insurance premium cost of around 15,000 equestrian animals used on the Kedarnath and other pilgrimage tracks.

Killed in US strike in Hormuz, Aditya Sharma of Hamirpur cremated at native village
