US senator criticizes Blinken for performing during Ukraine visit amid Gaza hostage crisis

Washington, May 15 (UNI) US Senator Rick Scott criticised Secretary of State Antony Blinken for performing with a local music band while in Ukraine at a time when Americans and others remain hostages in the Gaza Strip.
"While the world burns and Americans spend their 221st day trapped as Hamas hostages in Gaza, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is off performing in Ukraine on a taxpayer-funded trip," Scott said on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Blinken arrived in Kiev in order to demonstrate the United States' unwavering support for Ukraine.
