With mercury levels rising, Assam district changes school timings

Guwahati, June 10 (UNI) With the mercury level soaring, the Kamrup Metro district administration in Assam changed the school timings with effect from Wednesday.
A notification issued by the Kamrup Metro inspector of schools on Tuesday said that as per the instruction received from the District Commissioner, Kamrup Metro district, in the interest of public wellbeing, the normal school timing is rescheduled due to the continuous rise of Mercury levels and prevailing scorching heat.
The notification said that the Lower Primary schools will operate from 7.30 AM to 11.30 AM while the ME schools will operate from 7.30 AM to 12 noon. The higher secondary schools will function from 7.30 AM to 12.30 PM.

13,704 students from 80 Jharkhand schools to appear in CBSE board examinations

A total of 13,704 students, including 6,613 from Class X and 7,091 from Class XII, studying in the 80 Jharkhand government-run School Of Excellence (SoE), are set to appear in the CBSE Board Examinations 2026, scheduled to be held in February–March next year.
