AP reports 6,096 fresh cases of Covid-19, 20 more die

Vijayawada, Apr 15 (UNI) The fresh cases of Coronavirus continue to rise in Andhra Pradesh without any respite as a whopping 6,096 new cases have been reported while 20 more patients have died in a period of 24 hours.
A health bulletin, which was released here on Friday evening, said that 35,962 swab samples were tested in a period of 24 hours ending at 10 am today of which 6,096 were tested positive for Coronavirus while 20 more patients died in various districts. The pandemic has so far claimed the lives of 7,373. AP has been witnessing a steady rise of fresh cases for the last four days. There are 35,592 active cases at present in the state.
Large number of fresh cases 1,024 were reported in Chittoor district, 750 in EG district, 735 in Guntur district and 550 in Kurnool district. The total number of positive cases has risen to 9,48,231 of which 9,05,266 have been discharged as they recovered. So far 1,56,06,163 swab samples have been tested in AP.
