Assam Chief Minister to address 30 public meetings for first phase of polling

Guwahati, Mar 29 (UNI) Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will attend 30 public meetings in 15 days beginning from April 1 to 15 for the first phase of polling in the state.
According to the schedule, the Chief Minister in addition to 30 public meetings, will also accompany party candidates during the filing of nomination papers in Diphu on April 2 and in Silchar and Karimganj on April 3 .
Party sources said on April 1, he will take part in a cycle rally in Majuli. Similarly, on April 2, he will address a public meeting at Sarupathar. The Chief Minister will be present during the filing of nomination papers of party candidates in Silchar and Karimganj on April 3.
