Bihar :INDIA bloc will bring reservation for Muslims through backdoor if voted to power: PM

Munger, Apr 26 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday cautioned the people that the INDIA bloc would implement reservation in government services based on religion through the backdoor and give its benefits to Muslims, compromising the interest of Other Backward Classes (OBCs), if voted to power after the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
While addressing a massive public meeting here in favour of NDA candidates -- Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh from Munger, Giriraj Singh from Begusarai, and Rajesh Verma from Khagaria seat, Modi said Baba Sahab Bheem Rao Ambedkar had prepared the constitution which did not permit at all to grant reservation to any community based on religion. It was surprising and most painful to note that Congress had not given due respect to the spirit of the constitution prepared by Baba Saheb and given reservation to Muslims in Karnataka declaring them as Other Backward Classes (OBCs), he added.
Prime Minister said Congress had earlier attempted to give reservation based on religion but suffered a big jolt from the court as it had then declared the move as completely illegal. Despite orders of the court, Congress did not stop giving reservations to Muslims in government services and adopted a backdoor route by declaring most of the Muslim population as Other Backward Classes (OBCs) irrespective of their caste and financial condition, he added. Even forwards among Muslims were declared as OBCs in Karnataka to give them the benefits of reservation through the backdoor compromising the interest of true Other Backward Classes (OBCs), he added.
Modi said if the INDIA bloc was voted to power after ongoing general elections, Congress would implement the Karnataka model of reservation at the national level. In that case, even in Bihar, those availing the benefits of reservation under the category of other backward classes would suffer considerably, he cautioned.
Prime Minister said Congress was still following the appeasement policy to polarise votes based on religion. Another dangerous move of the Congress was a redistribution of wealth, promised in its manifesto released for Lok Sabha elections, he added.
Modi said that Congress had made up its mind to conduct a national level of all households to have an idea of the wealth possessed by families of all categories across the country. Congress had mooted the idea of inheritance tax which meant 50 percent of the assets would be seized by the government after the demise of a person and his children would get only 50 percent of the ancestral properties, he added. Assets thus seized would be distributed by Congress among Muslims which the party considered as its vote bank, he pointed out.
Prime Minister said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was talking about getting X-rays of all the families, which was nothing but an attempt to find out of their wealth and seize the same for distribution among Muslims. Congress had been looting the public money in the lifetime of a person and the party was
preparing to do the same even after his death, he remarked.
Modi said that RJD was in complete support of Congress in its sinister design of introducing reservations for Muslims through the backdoor. Bihar would also suffer as both RJD and Congress had the same views on these issues, he cautioned.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar while addressing the meeting said that "jungle raj" had prevailed during the RJD regime for 15 years from 1990 to 2005. In November 2005, his government was voted to power and serious and sustained efforts were made to improve the scenario in health, education, roads, and power sectors, he added. Law and order had improved remarkably which provided the safety and security of the people, he further added.
Kumar appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the support extended to his government in making efforts for the all-round development of Bihar. He exhorted the people to extend their massive support to NDA candidates enabling Narendra Modi to become Prime Minister again, having a strength of more than 400 MPs.
