Mangaluru, June 6 (UNI) The Congress government in Karnataka will set up a special police squad to handle cases of moral policing in Dakshina Kannada, Home Minister G Parameshwara said here on Tuesday.
The decision has been taken in the wake of a lot of cases pertaining to moral policing being reported from Dakshina Kannada, especially Mangaluru, he said.
"In Dakshina Kannada, particularly in Mangaluru, a lot of so-called moral policing is happening. People are fed up with it, and some others are trying to do it in a big way. So, we would like to stop this moral policing at once and then take whatever steps are necessary so that it does not get repeated.
