COVID-19: Haryana police personnel to get Rs 30 lakh cover

Chandigarh, Apr 9 (UNI) Haryana government has decided to provide Rs 30 lakh cover, in case of death, to the police personnel directly engaged in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
Giving this information here on Thursday, Director General of Police (DGP) Manoj Yadava said that Police is playing a proactive role in the COVID 19 fight especially in enforcing the lockdown.
Considering Police as the frontline force in fighting coronavirus, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had recently announced this measure to protect all Police personnel under like it has been done for healthcare personnel, he said.
