COVID-19: Tamil Nadu adds 5,871 cases, 119 deaths, 2.56 lakh recoveries

Chennai, Aug 12 (UNI) Tamil Nadu reported 5,871 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking its case load to 3,14,520 on Wednesday, while the death toll mounted to 5,278 with 119 more patients succumbing to the virus.

Health department in its bulletin said of the 119 deaths, 78 were reported in government hospitals and 41 in private hospitals.
