Deep Depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal crosses coast close to Digha : IMD

Hyderabad/New Delhi, Aug 19 (UNI) The Deep Depression over Northwest & adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal moved westnorthwestwards and crossed West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha coasts between Balasore and Sagar Islands, close to Digha between 1900 to 2000 hours tonight.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) in a bulletin a short while ago said, It would continue to move west-northwestwards across West Bengal, north Odisha and Jharkhand towards north Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours and weaken gradually.
