The India's pop sensation is known as 'SHERNI' in the music industry for her gutsy nature. While addressing mediapersons here, she said "I represent female empowerment to my core. I wrote this song four years ago but didn’t release it till now as I didn’t think people were ready for this kind of track. "We don’t really get much support for this kind of material because its not commercial. So now, the digital scenario is so big, artist like me can easily afford to drop our music and let our fan enjoy our work” she added. Sherni is a song on women empowerment, in which Kaur will urge all women to be strong in real life. Taking stand against using women as object the singer said, "with all the bullshit that has been happening in our country regarding sex, rape and ill treatment towards women. I think we are done taking all this crap.Enough!we all need to be shernis and let the world know that.” While addressing media, she further said “she can release back to back albums rather than doing a movie”.
