Electrification work in full swing in Tatanagar-Badampahar Section

Kolkata, Mar 2 (UNI) Electrification work in Tatanagar-Badampahar Section in Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway is going on in full swing.
The total length of the electrification project from Tatanagar to Badampahar is 89 KM which was sanctioned in the year 2018-19 and the estimated cost is Rs105 crores. In the Budget (2021-22) an amount of Rs 28.5 crores has been allotted for this project, an SER official on Tuesday said.
In the first phase, a total of 55 Km electrification work between Tatanagar and Aunlajori stations of the Tatanagar-Badampahar section is nearing completion. Electrification of the entire section from Tatanagar to Badampahar will help to induct electric train services in this route.
