Kamat demands clearance of pending dues to Women Self Help Groups

Panaji, Oct 10 (UNI) Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat on Thursday condemned the act of the Education Department of not paying the bills of last four months of Women Self Help Groups who are providing mid day meals to the School Children in Goa and demanded that the dues be cleared be soon.
In a statement, he said,"I demand that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant should immediately order to clear all the pending dues of the Self Help Groups towards supply of mid day meals."
Mr Kamat appreciated the humanitarian gesture of the Women Self Help Groups who continued supplying the meals to the children without receiving their rightful payments in last four months and said he totally sympathised with all of them.
