Manipur re-poll on April 30

Imphal, April 28 (UNI) The Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered fresh poll at six polling stations on April 30 of three assembly segments falling under Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency, which went to the polls on Friday.
The poll will be held from 7 am to 4 pm.
Congress has demanded the re-poll in 19 polling stations as its workers were threatened by armed persons. Rigging, booth capturing, EVM destruction were reported during the polling on April 26.

AFS kills 919 pigs in Mizoram this year

Aizawl, May 11 (UNI) At least 919 pigs have died in Mizoram due to African Swine Fever (ASF) infections during this year as the porcine disease continued to spread in the state with 36 localities or villages being identified as infected areas, state animal husbandry and veterinary department officials said on Saturday.

Kolkata, May 11 (UNI) Lightning and thunderstorms killed two persons and wounded five at Nanoor in West Bengal's Birbhum district on Friday even as dark clouds engulfed the sky and sporadic rains affected life in parts of south Bengal and brought down temperature considerably, official sources said.
