Muttannavar's bullock cart rally in Dharwad captures attention in lead-up to LS polls

Muttannavar's bullock cart rally in Dharwad captures attention in lead-up to LS polls

Hubballi, Apr 17 (UNI) Shivanand Muttannavar's innovative bullock cart rally has become a focal point in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha election in Dharwad.
His unique method of filing his nomination has not only garnered media attention but also resonated with the public, highlighting pressing regional issues like the Mahadayi water dispute.
Muttannavar emphasised on the inaction of prominent politicians, including Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the Mahadayi issue. Through his rally, he aimed to encourage voters to make informed choices in the upcoming election.
The electoral landscape in Dharwad is shaping up as a competitive race with notable contenders like Pralhad Joshi of the BJP, Vinod Asuti representing the Congress, and Dingaleshwar Swamiji as an independent candidate.

The involvement of Dingaleshwar Swamiji, a prominent seer, and the shared Kuruba community background of both Asuti and Muttannavar could introduce interesting dynamics into the voter preferences.
Furthermore, the speculations around Muttannavar's candidacy being influenced by internal BJP dynamics, particularly involving senior leader K Eshwarappa, add another layer of complexity to the political scenario.

Eshwarappa's decision to run as an independent from Shivamogga following the denial of a ticket to his son KE Kantesh could potentially impact Muttannavar's campaign and the broader party dynamics.
As the election date approaches, it will be intriguing to observe how these various factors and alliances play out, ultimately shaping the outcome in Dharwad.
The upcoming election promises to be a closely watched contest, with each candidate vying for the support of the electorate amidst a backdrop of regional issues and political intricacies.
