Mizoram Police seizes 2.557 kg heroin, methamphetamine tablets

Aizawl, Sep 4 (UNI) Mizoram Police seized 2.557 kilograms of heroin and 5.742 kilograms (50,500 tablets) of methamphetamine at Mizoram-Myanmar New Hruaikawn village in Champhai district on Monday, Lalbiakthanga Khiangte IGP (law & order) and chief public relations officer of the state police said on Wednesday.

Khiangte said that a team of officials from Zokhawthar police station, while conducting random checking at the outskirt of New Hruaikawn village, halted one vehicle (Bolero) plying from Bulfekzawl towards Champhai on suspicious ground at 10.25 pm on Monday night.
