Agartala, Apr 14 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said that his government sought legal advice to reopen the murder cases allegedly on political grounds during the Left Front rule.
While addressing BJP workers in his home constituency Bardowali in the city, the Chief Minister said in 25 years of Communist rule, a few hundred people mostly the opposition supporters were murdered in Tripura but no justice for the families yet and they were closed, the Chief Minister pointed out and added, “Let the election be over, we shall reopen the cases to provide justice to the victims and we are exploring the legal options.”
Saha advised the voters not to be convinced by the campaign of the leaders of CPI-M and Congress, which he termed as an ‘unholy alliance’ just to enter the power corridor. According to Saha, the pace of development of Tripura was slowed down by the Communists and Congress.
