Eleven persons have succumbed to Chitta Overdose in HP: CM Sukhu

Shimla, Sep 3 (UNI) Eleven people have lost their lives due to chitta overdose in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister S S Sukhu stated in a written reply in the Assembly on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister provided a detailed account of the state's escalating drug problem, revealing that in the last one and a half years, 2,947 drug-related cases have been registered.
The administration has taken strong measures to tackle the growing menace, including issuing orders to detain habitual drug smugglers who continue their illicit activities despite previous arrests. According to the latest reports, the police have already detained three such smugglers, and actions are ongoing against 16 more individuals.
