Elaborate security arrangements for PM Modi’s public meeting in AP tomorrow: IGP

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 16 (UNI) Guntur Range IGP Pala Raju on Saturday said that over 3,900 police personnel are being deployed to provide security for the ‘Prajagalam’ public meeting to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and organized by the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance at Chilakaluripet on Sunday.
A trial run of VVIPs convoy was conducted on Saturday at the venue. Guntur Range IGP Pala Raju, accompanied by a large number of police personnel including SPs of Prakasam, Palnadu, Bapatla and Guntur districts inspected the security arrangements. The IGP gave directions to the officials.
The IGP said that over 3900 police personnel including 6 Superintendents of police, 11 Additional SPs, 27 DSPs, 82 CIs, 256 SIs and 800 ASIs/HCs were being deployed on security duty for the Prajagalam meeting, adding that 353 AR force personnel and 149 special force personnel were also being deployed. The entire area has been taken into control by the NSG commandos.
