AP CM unveils Manifesto focusing on Women, Farmers, Youth welfare

Vijayawada, Apr 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy here on Saturday unveiled the YSRCP's 2024 Manifesto outlining his vision for the state's future over the next five years.
With the tagline 'Your Dreams, My Schemes,' the manifesto underscores his commitment to adding happiness and enhancing the quality of life in every household with a special focus on Women, Agriculture, Youth & Industrial and Infrastructure boost with mention that the revolutionary schemes in the Education and Health sector would all continue.
Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy vowed to uphold every aspect of the manifesto with unwavering dedication, something that he did in 2019, where he was able to fulfill 99.4 percent of the manifesto promises. He reiterated his principle of only making commitments he can fulfill, stating: “I will only say what I can do. I don’t want to go down in history as someone who lied. I want to be a hero by keeping my word.”
Speaking at the launch event, the Chief Minister said: "Over 58 months, we have allocated a total of Rs 3.56 lakh crore to the accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT and non-DBT methods maintaining complete transparency (Rs 2.68 lakh crore via Direct Benefit Transfer) and Rs 1.78 lakh crore via non-DBT). How we have honored our promises in the last 58 months will undoubtedly be remembered in history.”
The Chief Minister further stated, ‘Despite facing various challenges, including the Covid pandemic, we have stood by the people and executed welfare programs without giving any excuses.’ Between 2014 and 2019, a mere 32,000 government jobs were created. In contrast, over the past 58 months, we have generated 2,31,000 jobs,” Jagan Reddy claimed. .
He further said, "Aarogyasri, Sampoornaposhan, Fee Reimbursement, and Gorumudda, all these schemes are indispensable and will continue uninterrupted. Chandrababu's extravagant promises necessitate a staggering Rs 1.21 lakh crore, with an annual expenditure of Rs 29,100 crore, far exceeding the financial feasibility."
“Opposition parties allege that our government burdened the people with excessive taxes. However, data indicates otherwise. During 2014-19, the tax to GSDP ratio was 6.57 percent and during 2019-24, the tax to GSDP ratio was 6.35 percent. Therefore, the tax burden on an individual is relatively lower compared to the individual's income during the period of the present Government," the Chief Minister explained.
