Over 120 passengers die, 850 injured as two express trains collide, derail in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, June 2 (UNI) In one of India's worst railway accidents, over 120 passengers died and more than 850 were injured when two express trains collided and derailed near Bahanga station in Odisha's Balasore district on Friday evening, officials said.
As many as 15 coaches and one engine got derailed or capsized in the mishap.in evolving the Chennai-bound Coromandel Express and the Howrah-bound Yeshwanthpur- Howrah Express at around 7 PM.
A railway spokesperson said 10 coaches of the Shalimar Chennai Coromondal Express capsized, while another coach and the engine derailed near Balasore and fell on the opposite track. After some time the Yeshwanthpur- Howrah Express dashed into those derailed coaches. As a result, two GS coaches and two bogies of that train derailed and capsized,
