Rahul yet to decide on Wayanad or Rae Bareli

Malappuram (Kerala), June 12 (UNI) Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has not yet made up his mind on whether to relinquish "Wayanad or Rae Bareli" Lok Sabha seat, as of Wednesday when he visited his parliamentary constituency in Kerala for the first time after winning the elections from both seats with huge margins.
The suspense could continue till June 17, as Gandhi admitted: "I'm in a big dilemma whether to relinquish Wayanad or Rae Bareli" before the voters of Wayanad constituency.
However, he assured them: "I will commit to you that both the people of Wayanad and Rae Bareli constituencies will be happy with my decision in this regard".
Gandhi asked the voters to sort out his dilemma about which constituency to stay pick.

Addressing a reception organised by Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) at Edavanna in Malappuram district, which is part of Wayanad Lok Sabha Constituency, Rahul Gandhi ridiculed and criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Wayanad MP said: "Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that he was functioning as directed by the Paramathma (Almighty), however, Modi only followed the directions of almighty to take decisions in favour of Adani or Ambani."
Gandhi said: "I am a normal human being, my god lives among the poor people of India. And so for me it is easy to just talk to the people in Wayanad and they will tell me what to do."
He also targeted BJP leaders, who ahead of the elections in their arrogance had said the Constitution will be thrown out.
The elections were fought to uphold the Constitution and the people taught the BJP a lesson, he said, adding that "do not touch the Constitution. It is our pride, voice and tradition. So do not touch it."
He declared that politics of hatred was defeated by that of love and affection, while arrogance was trumped by humility.
Gandhi thanked the people of Wayanad for his consecutive victory from the Lok Sabha seat and ended the speech with a promise: "I look forward to seeing you soon".
Thousands of UDF workers including women and children thronged both sides of the road to catch a glimpse of Rahul Gandhi seated in an open jeep during his Edavanna road show.
Gandhi greeted them later at a second reception held at Kalpetta bus stand.

AICC Organizing General secretary KC Venugopal, Opposition leader VD Satheeshan, senior Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala , MM Hassan, were present among others.
Rahul Gandhi won from Wayanad with a margin of 3.6 lakhs votes in 2024 LS elections.
