Rains in several parts of Odisha paralyse normal life

Bhubaneswar, April 1 (UNI) Light to moderate rain and thunderstorms occurred in several parts of Odisha over the past 24 hours paralysing normal life at many places on Saturday.
Met sources said light to moderate rain/thunderstorm has occurred at most places over the North Odisha districts and in various areas of South Orissha districts. Heavy rainfall has occurred in Kandhamal and Cuttack districts.
Hailstorms with gusty surface wind were reported in the afternoon at Dhenkanal having a maximum dimension of about 1 cm (approx) and during the night on March 31 at Daringbadi (Kandhamal district) having a maximum dimension of about 0.5 cm (approx)
