RTC bus passengers have miraculous escape as bus catches fire

Vijayawada, Oct 21 (UNI) As many as 29 passengers of APSRTC Pallevelugu bus had a miraculous escape when the flames engulfed the bus at Ventrapragada village on Manikonda road in NTR district on Friday.
Police said that the ill-fated APSRTC Pallevelugu bus was going to Gudivada from Vijayawada and the bus belonged to Gudivada depot. The driver noticed technical flares erupting in the bus and stopped the bus immediately. He alerted the passengers and made them get down the bus immediately. Within minutes, the flames engulfed the bus which was completely gutted.
Some passengers told the media that they were unable to bring out their luggage in which they preserved cash and other valuables which were destroyed in the fire. The fire brigade tenders rushed there and extinguished the flames, but by time, the bus was completely gutted.
