Sushmita Goswami, Sanjay Ray New President and Secretary of GPC

Guwahati, Jun 5 (UNI) Sushmita Goswami, senior correspondent of the Press Trust of India (PTI), and former UNI Bureau head of Assam, was elected for the coveted position of president of Guwahati Press Club
Sushmita's extensive experience in the field, coupled with her passion for upholding journalistic principles, had endeared her to many. Her vision for the club included fostering an environment of inclusivity, promoting ethical journalism, and empowering young journalists through mentorship programs.
In a show of solidarity and unity, the members also reelected Sanjay Ray, a seasoned senior correspondent of the Assam Tribune, as the secretary of the Guwahati Press Club. Sanjay's dedication and exemplary leadership skills had made him a trusted figure within the club, and his reelection was seen as an affirmation of his invaluable contributions.
