Triple valve heart surgery performed at RPGMC Tanda for first time: Principal

Kangra, April 24 (UNI) Taking a big leap in the sphere of advanced healthcare and exhibiting utmost commitment to the cause of providing a complete range of heart surgeries, the Department of CTVS at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC) Tanda has performed triple valve surgery, including two valve replacements and third valve repair, on the same patient for the first time in this institution.

Dr. Milap Sharma, Principal, DRPG Medical College Tanda, told UNI that the patient, who belonged to District Chamba of Himachal Pradesh, was suffering from rheumatic heart disease, with all three heart valves affected and thus causing heart failure.
