Agartala, Dec 3 (UNI) Refuting the allegation of jobless situation and crisis in rural areas of Tripura by the oppositions, Deputy Chief Minister holding the charge of finance and rural development Jishnu Dev Varma today claimed that the state would set the record in performance of MGNREGA implementation in current financial year.
“In some blocks it is expected to cross 100 days work under MGNREA, as four months working season is still left and the Central government has revised the labour budget and enhanced the funding” he said.
Dev Varma said till last week average 41.76 person days work has been done in Tripura and in the aspiration district Dhalai has recorded highest in the state by providing average 66 days work so far. Ganganagar block of Dhalai district has registered highest by providing 91 days work to the beneficiaries.
