Two arrested in gang-rape case near Hampi

Koppal (Karnataka), Mar 9 (UNI) Karnataka Police on Saturday arrested two men in connection with the gang-rape of two women, including a 27-year-old Israeli tourist, in Koppal district.
"Two of the three accused have been arrested, and efforts are underway to apprehend the third suspect," said Koppal Superintendent of Police Ram L Arasiddi.
The horrific incident has sparked nationwide outrage over tourist safety in Karnataka’s renowned heritage town of Hampi. The attack took place late on Thursday night when the Israeli tourist, along with Bibash from Odisha and two other male tourists, was stargazing near a lake in Sanapur, Gangavati taluk.
