Two policemen hurt in stone pelting as march turns violent; tear gas used

Kannur, Jul 23 (UNI) Two police personnel were injured in stone pelting when a march taken out by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) to district Collectorate turned violent on Monday.
Two policemen, Alexander and Jithin Raj, attached to Armed Reserve camp were injured as the march, demanding ban on radical outfit Popular Front of India (PFI), taken out by the student wing of BJP turned violent.
Police blocked the protest march of ABVP activists in front of Collectorate by using barricades. After the inauguration of the march by State Joint Secretary Sasi, ABVP workers pelted stones against the cops, police said.

AP: Two boys drown in Yeleru canal while bathing

Kakinada, Apr 2 (UNI) Two boys who came for the village deity Nookalamma Festival in Kandrakota village of Peddapuram Mandal went for bathing and drowned in nearby Yeleru canal on Wedmesday, police said.
The body of a nine-year-old boy was retrieved a little later and search is on for the other boy/
