UP: Man quizzed in connection with Bengaluru blast case

Bareilly (UP), Mar 28 (UNI) A man was quizzed by a team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with an inquiry into a blast in a cafe in Rajajinagar locality in Bengaluru city on March 1, a police officer said here on Thursday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan said that the NIA team, which came from Lucknow, had sought assistance to quiz a person from Dhaura Tanda area. He said that the NIA team quizzed him at different places in Bhojipura police station. The local police were not informed about the context in which the inquiry was conducted.
Sources said that the NIA team along with local police reached the house of Maulana Umair on Wednesday. "Failing to find Umair the NIA team took his father Shoaib to a place from where the Maulana was taken into custody and brought to the police station," they said.
