UP to have 100 clean-green schools

Lucknow, Dec 1 (UNI) In an attempt to teach students virtues of good environment, Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to launch 'Clean school green school’ scheme, under which 100 schools across the state would be adopted that will have best of facilities including furniture, water, toilet and greenery.
The decision was taken in the state cabinet meeting held here today which was chaired by chief minister Akhilesh Yadav.
The selection of schools would be done by a committee to be set up under Director, Secondary Education. In districts a committee headed by District Magistrate will monitor implementation of this scheme.
