GSL to exhibit indigenous shipbuilding capabilities for world in 12th edition of DefExpo

Panaji, Oct 15 (UNI) Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) will exhibit indigenous shipbuilding capabilities for the world in 12th edition of DefExpo to be held from October 18 to 22 at Gandhinagar in Gujarat.

GSL will have a dedicated exhibition stall for active participation and interaction with interested Indian and overseas industry partners and potential customers, a statement from the company said on Saturday.

A display of scaled models of GSLs flagship products such as Offshore Patrol Vessels, Fast Patrol Vessels, and Advanced Missile Frigate will be showcased highlighting the indigenous shipbuilding capability of GSL.

The main focus at DefExpo 2022 is to exhibit the capabilities of Goa Shipyard Limited primarily aimed at Indigenization and Import Substitution, Making in India for the World and Building futuristic and potent platform.

"Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), in the last few years has established new benchmarks in the Indian Shipbuilding Industry by consistently delivering Vessels ahead of contractual delivery schedule. Backed by strong design house and superior ‘Quality’ ships, it has emerged as the fastest growing shipyard in the country, building high technology and sophisticated ships. With an unmatchable track record of timely execution and delivery at ‘fixed cost’ of over 200 Ships and more than 160 Fast Interceptor Boats, GSL stands tall as the success story of the changing face of Indian Defence Shipyards," the statement added.
GSL will also be signing a number of MOUs during the Bandhan event that will be conducted in the sidelines of the Expo, the statement said.
