Patna, Mar 3 (UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced on Monday in his budget speech in the Assembly for connecting Patna with four lanes to all district headquarters of the state.
Chaudhary, also the Finance Minister, while making announcement during budget presentation in the house for the financial year 2025-26, said that vision of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was to ensure travelling time of six hours to reach Patna from any part of Bihar when NDA government was voted to power in 2005.
It was made possible after sustained efforts of the state government under visionary leadership of Kumar, he added.
"After achieving the target of travelling time of six hours in reaching Patna from any part of Bihar, it was later reduced to five hours with better road connectivity and improved infrastructural facilities", the Minister said that Chief Minister had now given the task to reduce the travelling time to four hours.
Bihar government had prepared a plan to achieve the target in accordance with vision of Nitish Kumar,
he further added.
Chaudhary said that state capital Patna would be connected with four lanes to all district headquarters of Bihar. It would help in reducing the travelling time to four hours in reaching Patna from any part of Bihar, he added.
