Ban Gaurakshaks, allow cattle trade; demands Kisan Sabha

New Delhi, Nov 18 (UNI) All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) on Saturday demanded an immediate ban on ‘Gaurakshaks’, in the wake of killings and attacks unleashed by them including that of the recent murder of Ummer Khan in Rajasthan’s Alwar district.
Speaking to reporters here after visiting Mr Khan’s family and senior police officers, in Bharatpur district, the Kisan Sabha delegation alleged that authorities in State and Central Governments are hand in glove with criminals.
“Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had criticised gaurakshaks and described them as ‘anti-social elements’, so what is stopping the Central and state governments from banning this group?” asked Dr Ashok Dhawale, the Kisan Sabha president and former MP Hannan Mollah.
