Children must be familiar with mother tongue:Experts

New Delhi, Dec 24 (UNI) The need to increase use of domestic language in school education formed the main agenda of the two-day national conference on Early Language and Literacy.
Stressing the role of skillful utilisation of primary language in teaching, the Centre for Early Childhood Education and Development (CECED), Ambedkar University, Delhi here organised the conference to bring together emerging concerns and challenges around early language and literacy in India.
Altogether 450 people, including scholars and students, were present at this conference, which was arranged in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad and supported by Children Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF).
